Some weddings perfectly capture the best of both worlds, and Morgan and Trey’s elegant wedding at The Gardenia in Valley View, Texas was exactly that. Nestled among the rolling countryside of North Texas, The Gardenia provided the perfect setting for a celebration that blended timeless elegance with meaningful Texas traditions.
From custom-designed flat lays and romantic private vows to cowboy hats, boots, and a ribbon-filled sendoff, every detail of their wedding day felt intentional, personal, and beautifully reflective of their story. As Dallas wedding photographers and videographers, these are the weddings we absolutely love—elevated design, genuine emotion, and a couple who isn't afraid to make their day uniquely their own.
Thoughtfully Designed Wedding Flat Lays at The Gardenia
One of the very first things we photograph on a wedding day is the details. These images help tell the story of the entire celebration and become some of the most treasured photographs in a wedding gallery.
Morgan thoughtfully gathered beautiful heirloom-quality details for us to style, including an engraved gold mirror octagon velvet ring box featuring their initials, T & M, elegant pearl earrings, custom French Toile Wedding Vow Books personalized with a soft blue floral pattern, and fresh dust blue delphinium wildflowers.
To create these photographs, we don't simply place items on a table and take a picture. Every flat lay is intentionally designed using pieces from our styling collection. For Morgan and Trey’s wedding, we selected an oatmeal-colored linen styling surface with beautiful natural texture as the foundation for the design.
From our styling kit, we incorporated an ivory metal tray, a vintage silver saucer with delicate gold foil trim, flowing dust blue chiffon ribbon, and carefully layered each piece to create a cohesive, editorial-inspired design.
We keep an extensive collection of styling boards, trays, dishes, ribbons, ring boxes, and decorative accents in a variety of colors and styles specifically so every wedding can have custom-designed flat lays that match the aesthetic of the day.
If you're planning your own wedding, one of the best things you can do is prepare a wedding details box for your photographer. This allows us to immediately begin styling and photographing your details while hair and makeup are taking place.
We recommend including:
- Invitation suite
- Rings
- Jewelry
- Shoes
- Vow books
- Perfume
- Veil
- Heirloom items
- Specialty accessories
- Anything meaningful to your relationship
We also encourage couples to ask their florist to leave a few loose flowers and greenery stems specifically for flat lays. Fresh blooms help tie everything together and elevate the overall design in a way that feels artful, meaningful, and intentional.
Elegant Bridal Details
Morgan's bridal details were absolutely stunning.
Her lace slingback kitten heels featured delicate glass beads woven throughout the lace, creating a timeless and sophisticated bridal look. Combined with her pearl jewelry, cathedral-length veil, and classic gown, every detail felt effortlessly elegant.
Her veil was trimmed with delicate lace florals that beautifully complemented the romantic aesthetic woven throughout the wedding day.
Kind words from the Bride & Groom
"April took the most beautiful pictures of our wedding and captured every detail! She made all of us feel so beautiful!!"

The Sweetest Bridal Suite Morning
The morning began inside The Gardenia's beautiful bridal suite, where natural light flooded every corner of the space.
Morgan and her bridesmaids enjoyed a relaxed morning together on the patio wearing matching pajamas and sipping champagne from pink-tinted glass stemware. Every champagne glass had its own tiny tutu, which may have been one of the cutest getting-ready details we've ever photographed.
The bridesmaids wore coordinating pajamas while Morgan stood out in white pajamas and fuzzy bridal slippers.
The bridal party wore elegant updos while Morgan wore her hair down in glamorous oversized curls that perfectly framed her face and complemented her timeless bridal style.
One of our favorite moments from the morning was photographing the bridesmaids helping Morgan into her dress in front of a gorgeous gold mirror bathed in natural window light. Shortly after, her mother lovingly placed her cathedral veil into her hair, creating one of the most emotional moments of the morning.
A First Look with Dad We'll Never Forget
One of the most touching moments of the entire day happened just outside the bridal suite.
Morgan met her father on the staircase for a first look before the ceremony.
As he turned and saw his daughter fully dressed as a bride, he removed his cowboy hat and held it in his hands as tears filled his eyes.
There wasn't a dry eye nearby.
These father-daughter moments are some of the most meaningful parts of a wedding day, and this one was truly unforgettable.
The Groom's Morning: Faith, Family, and Plenty of Fun
While Morgan spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids, Trey enjoyed a relaxed and memorable morning with his closest friends and family.
The groom's suite was filled with laughter, excitement, and plenty of anticipation as the guys helped each other get dressed for the big day. Dressed in jeans, boots, cowboy hats, and classic black jackets, they perfectly reflected the elegant Texas style woven throughout the wedding.
One of the sweetest moments of the morning came when Trey's mother carefully pinned his boutonniere onto his jacket. As she made the final adjustment, you could see the pride and emotion in her eyes as she prepared to watch her son become a husband.
Before the ceremony, Trey gathered his groomsmen together for a prayer. Surrounded by his closest friends, they took a few quiet moments to thank God for the day ahead, pray over Morgan and Trey’s marriage, and reflect on the significance of the commitment he was about to make.
These moments are always some of our favorites to photograph because they capture something deeper than the details and timeline—they capture the relationships, support, and faith that surround a couple on their wedding day.
Of course, it wasn't all serious. The morning was also filled with plenty of jokes, stories, laughter, and hype from the guys as they counted down the minutes until the ceremony. The energy in the room was contagious, creating some truly candid and memorable photographs before the day officially began.
Private Vows and a First Touch
Before the ceremony, Morgan and Trey chose to share a private vow reading and first touch.
This is often confused with a first look, but it is something entirely different.
Rather than seeing each other, the couple stands around a corner, door, or wall and simply holds hands while exchanging private vows.
It's an incredible way to calm wedding-day nerves, enjoy a few quiet moments together, and create an intimate memory before walking down the aisle.
For Morgan and Trey, it became one of the most emotional and meaningful moments of their day.
A Beautiful Chapel Ceremony
The ceremony took place inside The Gardenia's stunning chapel.
Featuring white shiplap walls and floor-to-ceiling windows, the space was flooded with natural light and provided the perfect backdrop for their vows.
The wedding party beautifully reflected the couple's elegant-meets-Texas style.
The bridesmaids wore timeless black gowns and carried bouquets filled with white blooms, dust blue flowers, and loose greenery.
The groomsmen wore jeans, cowboy boots, and cowboy hats, embracing the cowboy twist that made the day uniquely theirs.
With four bridesmaids and four groomsmen standing beside them, Morgan and Trey exchanged vows surrounded by their closest friends and family.
Fun, Energetic Wedding Party Photos
After the ceremony, we moved into formal portraits and wedding party photographs.
Rather than stiff poses, we focused on movement, interaction, and genuine laughter.
The result was a collection of images filled with energy, personality, and authentic emotion.
From walking shots and candid laughs to playful interactions between the bridesmaids and groomsmen, these photos perfectly captured the excitement of the day.
Romantic Sunset Portraits at The Gardenia
As golden hour arrived, we slipped away with Morgan and Trey for sunset portraits.
The Gardenia's gorgeous chapel provided a stunning backdrop while soft evening light wrapped around the couple.
These portraits felt romantic, effortless, and deeply connected.
Some of our favorite images from the day came during these quiet moments together as newlyweds.
The combination of elegant wedding attire, beautiful architecture, and warm sunset light created pure magic.
An Elegant Reception Filled with Candlelight
The reception space was absolutely breathtaking.
Elegant farmhouse tables filled the room, dressed with dust blue menus, black napkins, gold chargers, gold flatware, and gold candlesticks.
White roses and baby's breath lined the center of each table while countless real candles flickered throughout the reception space.
Glass votives reflected candlelight in every direction, creating a warm and romantic atmosphere that felt straight out of a magazine.
Towering illuminated Mr. & Mrs. marquee letters added another beautiful focal point to the room.
Every design element worked together flawlessly to create an elegant, timeless reception.
A Classic Wedding Cake
Morgan and Trey chose a beautiful two-tier white wedding cake adorned with pearls, white roses, and dust blue florals.
Simple, elegant, and timeless, it perfectly complemented the overall aesthetic of the day.
Dancing the Night Away
The celebration continued with a champagne wall, an incredibly fun photo booth, and a packed dance floor.
Friends and family celebrated late into the evening, creating unforgettable memories and keeping the energy high all night long.
The atmosphere was joyful, exciting, and filled with so much love.
The Perfect Wedding Exit
As the evening came to a close, guests gathered outside waving ribbons overhead.
Morgan and Trey made their grand exit surrounded by their favorite people.
Just before disappearing into the night, Trey dipped Morgan into a romantic kiss while ribbons danced all around them.
It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable wedding day.
